Completing Sessions and Providing Feedback

After each meeting with your partner, you mark the session complete in MentorNeko. This keeps your progress record accurate, unlocks the next session, and gives your program administrator the information they need to keep the program running well. The process takes about a minute.

Marking a Session Complete

To complete a session:

  1. Open the Sessions tab in your Match Hub.
  2. Click the session you just finished.
  3. Click Mark Session Complete.
  4. A confirmation dialog will appear. Review the summary and confirm.

Session completion is per-participant. You complete the session on your own; your partner completes it on theirs. You do not need to wait for your partner to complete before you do.

If your program requires a signed partnership agreement before sessions can be completed, you will see a prompt to sign the agreement first. Once both partners have signed, you can return and complete the session normally.

Providing Feedback

After you confirm completion, you will be prompted to provide brief feedback on the session:

  • Rating: A simple rating of how the session went.
  • Optional comments: A free-text field for anything specific you want to note.

Feedback is private. Your partner does not see your individual rating or comments. The program administrator uses the aggregated data to monitor program health and identify relationships that may need support.

What Your Feedback Is Used For

Your feedback is used in two ways:

  1. Program improvement: Administrators review session ratings in aggregate to understand how the program is performing and where session guides could be strengthened.
  2. At-risk alerts: If multiple consecutive sessions receive low ratings, the platform flags the match for administrator review. Your admin may reach out to offer support or check in on how the relationship is going.

No single rating triggers an alert. The system looks for patterns over multiple sessions.

Unlocking the Next Session

Once both you and your partner have marked the current session complete, the next session becomes active. You will see it highlighted in the Sessions tab as the current session, and if your program sends session reminder emails, the timing resets based on your cadence.

Viewing Your Completion History

The check-in timeline in the Match Hub Overview tab shows a chronological record of every session you have completed. You can also see the full completion timeline from the Sessions tab, where each session card shows the completion date for both participants.
