Participant Guide

Your mentoring journey.
Step by step.

Whether you are a mentor, mentee, or networking participant, this guide covers everything you need to know about using the platform.

Getting Started

Your admin will invite you via email. From there, getting set up takes just a few minutes.

Passwordless login

You will receive a magic link email to log in. No password to create or remember. Just click the link and you are in.

Complete your profile

Upload an avatar, write a short bio (30 or more words), and fill in the required profile dimensions your organization has configured. These might include skills, goals, seniority level, communication style, and more.

Choose your intent

Tell the platform how you want to participate: Mentor, Mentee, Networking, or Exploring. You can combine Mentor, Mentee, and Networking in any combination, but Exploring is a standalone option for those still deciding.

Profile readiness

Your profile must be complete before you can enroll in any program. The platform will show you exactly what is missing if anything needs attention.

Being Matched

Matching is handled by your program admin. You do not need to search for a partner.

Your admin runs matching

When your program is ready, admins run the matching process. You will be paired based on your profile, goals, and the criteria your admin has configured.

Match notification

You will receive an email when you are matched. Each match includes a rationale explaining why you were paired, so you understand the connection from day one.

Admin approval

All matches are reviewed and approved by admins before they become active. This ensures quality pairings across the program.

Your Partnership

Once matched, your dashboard becomes your partnership hub. Here is what you will find there.

Partnership dashboard

See your active matches, partnership stats, session progress, and upcoming check-ins all in one place.

Shared session notes

Both you and your partner can edit rich text notes for each session. Notes include full revision history so nothing gets lost.

Goal tracking

Mentees set development goals with milestones. Both participants can track progress and provide updates throughout the partnership.

Session check-ins

Track your meeting cadence with session check-ins. Momentum dots on your dashboard show consistency at a glance, so you can see your engagement over time.

Action items

Create and track commitments between sessions. Action items keep your partnership moving forward with clear next steps.

Pausing your match

Need a break? You can pause your match for 1 to 90 days. Your partner and admin are notified, and the match resumes automatically when the pause period ends.

For Mentors

Mentoring on the platform comes with tools to manage your availability and impact.

Set your capacity

Choose how many mentees you can take on at once (1 to 3). Capacity is managed both globally and per-program, so you stay in control.

Multiple roles

You can be a mentor in one program and a mentee in another. The platform tracks your roles independently across programs.

Mentor milestones

As you complete sessions and mentoring partnerships, you earn milestone tiers that recognize your sustained contribution.

Networking

Some organizations run networking rounds alongside or instead of formal mentoring. Here is how they work.

Cross-functional pairing

You will be paired with someone you would not normally meet, across departments, seniority levels, or locations.

Shared context and icebreakers

Each introduction comes with shared context about both participants and icebreaker prompts, so you can skip the awkward first message.

Check-in feedback

After each introduction, you will be asked for quick feedback on how the conversation went. This helps improve future pairing.

End of Match

When your partnership reaches its natural conclusion, the platform guides both participants through a smooth wrap-up.

Concluding your match

Matches can conclude naturally when your program ends or when goals are met. Your admin may also conclude matches as part of a cohort cycle.

Exit survey

You will be asked to complete a short exit survey sharing your experience. This feedback helps admins improve future programs.

Certificates

Earn a branded certificate for each completed match. View your certificate from your past matches on the dashboard and save it as a PDF.

Re-matching

In always-on programs, you can choose to be matched again after completing a partnership. Just opt in and the platform will include you in the next matching round.

Community Directory

Connect with other members in your organization beyond formal matches.

Browse members

The community directory lets you browse other members in your organization, see their profiles, and learn about their background.

Connect relay

Use the Connect feature to reach out to people you would like to meet. Messages are relayed through the platform so your email stays private until you are ready to share it.
