After you have joined a program, you can adjust your participation settings at any time from your dashboard. Some changes take effect immediately; others are subject to restrictions designed to protect active matches and fair capacity allocation.
To access your program settings, go to Dashboard > My Programs and click the settings icon on any program card.

Changing Your Role
If a program supports multiple roles, you can update which role you have enrolled in. Keep in mind the following constraint:
You cannot drop a role that has an active or pending match associated with it. For example, if you are enrolled as both a Mentor and a Mentee, and you have an active mentorship match, you cannot remove the Mentor role until that match has concluded.
To change your role, open the program settings and select a new role from the available options. The change is saved immediately.
Updating Your Mentor Capacity
If you are enrolled as a mentor, you can update the number of mentee slots you are allocating to this program. Reducing your capacity below the number of your current active mentees is not permitted. Once your existing matches conclude, you can reduce the slot count freely.
To update your capacity, open the program settings and adjust the Mentee slots field. Your global mentor capacity (set on your profile) is separate and applies across all programs.

Opting Out of Matching (Staying Enrolled Without Being Matched)
If you want to remain enrolled in a program but do not want to be included in the next matching cycle, you can opt out of matching without leaving the program entirely. This is useful if you need a break from new matches but want to stay connected to the program community.
To opt out, open the program settings and toggle Seeking a match to off.
While opted out, you will not appear as a candidate in future matching cycles. Your current active matches are unaffected.
Opting Back In
When you are ready to be matched again, return to the program settings and turn Seeking a match back on. You will be included in the next matching cycle your admin runs.
Leaving a Program
If you want to remove yourself from a program entirely, you can leave from the program settings page. Select Leave Program and confirm your choice.
Important considerations before leaving:
- You cannot leave a program while you have an active or pending match in that program. If a match is in progress, it must conclude or be terminated first.
- If you have no active matches, leaving removes your enrollment record and you will no longer appear in matching cycles for that program.
- You can re-enroll in the program later if enrollment is still open, as long as your profile still meets the readiness requirements.

If your program is a fixed cohort that has ended enrollment, you may not be able to re-enroll after leaving. Check the program details before confirming.
